The dedication of this team, and all of the wonderful Pride in Surrey volunteers never ceases to amaze me. Β They work tirelessly for and with the LGBTQ+ community and allies in the county I call home.

I am equally proud to be a friend of Surrey based Trans Radio UK TRUK United FC and I will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with my Trans family.

We are currently at a pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ History as vigils continue to take place across the country (but largely unreported by the press and particularly censored by BBC News )

Thousands of people are standing vigil for Brianna Ghey and all who continue to lose their lives or live in fear because of the ignorance, bigotry and hate whipped up in the media, and fueled by constant, obsessive Transphobic commentary and attacks from certain individuals.

As Stephen Ireland said last night, we stand in silence out of respect, but THIS IS our Stonewall moment – THIS IS our opportunity to stand together and make some noise…………

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ PRIDE IS A PROTEST.
πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ TO BE SILENT IS TO BE COMPLICIT.
πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ STAND UP AND MAKE SOME NOISE.

Please check for all vigil updates here: https://www.transradiouk.com/2023/02/15/upcoming-vigils-for-brianna-ghey/

πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ BE A VISIBLE ALLY.
